Electronic & semiconductor materials

For electronic materials: get into answers built from papers and patents.

Ask an AI which underfill, mold compound or thermal interface material to use, and the answer is assembled from conference papers and patents. For “who supplies it” questions, it's built from market-research teasers. In our pilot, 43% of citations for packaging questions were academic sources.

Questions engineers ask AI

From our pilot question set

  • “Which underfill materials minimize warpage for a large-die flip-chip BGA under −55 to 125 °C cycling?”
  • “What epoxy mold compounds are recommended for fan-out wafer-level packaging?”
  • “What are the best thermal interface materials for a high-power AI accelerator package?”
  • “Which low-Dk/low-Df dielectrics are used for package substrates in 224 Gbps SerDes designs?”
  • “Sintered silver or solder for die attach in SiC power modules at 200 °C?”
  • “Which companies supply underfill and mold compound materials for advanced packaging?”

What AI cites today

What our pilot found

52 engineering questions put to ChatGPT and Claude on October 14, 2026, with every cited source traced.

Papers and patents set the terms

Academic sources were 43% of citations on packaging questions and patents another 12%. Supplier product pages were a quarter.

Supplier lists come from report teasers

Asked who supplies underfill, Claude drew 9 of its 12 sources from market-research report teasers and press wires. ChatGPT, asked the same question, cited 17 supplier pages.

What we do

How we change the answer

  • Open HTML technical briefs that mirror your conference papers.
  • Product pages with reliability data (thermal cycling, warpage, CTE, Tg, modulus) and test conditions.
  • Application notes by package type: FCBGA, FOWLP, SiP, power modules.
  • Presence in the trade and standards sources engines trust for supplier landscapes.
  • Spec Watch on reliability claims.

What you get

  • Share of Answer by package type and engine
  • Source Map of papers, patents and teasers answering for you
  • Technical-brief program aligned with your publication calendar
  • Quarterly re-measurement

Start with evidence

See what AI tells engineers about your materials.

We'll run 25 of your customers' questions across three engines and show you who gets named, which sources get cited, and what's wrong. Free, in five business days.
