Specialty chemicals, adhesives & coatings

For specialty chemicals: be the formulation answer.

“What adhesive bonds polypropylene without surface treatment?” “What's a PFAS-free alternative for water-repellent finishes?” Engineers ask AI the questions your technical service team answers every day. When an engine answers well, it's usually because one supplier published the clearest application guide.

Questions engineers ask AI

From our pilot question set

  • “What adhesive should I use to bond polypropylene or other low-surface-energy plastics without surface treatment?”
  • “What are the best PFAS-free alternatives for durable water-repellent finishes on outdoor apparel?”
  • “Which structural adhesive is best for bonding carbon fiber composite to aluminum?”
  • “What conformal coating should I use for a PCB exposed to condensation and salt spray?”
  • “How do I improve paint adhesion on TPO automotive parts?”
  • “What hot-melt adhesive works for a high-speed line running freezer-grade cartons?”

What AI cites today

What our pilot found

52 engineering questions put to ChatGPT and Claude on October 14, 2026, with every cited source traced.

One application guide can own a question

On low-surface-energy bonding, one supplier's application pages dominated both engines, down to the specific product the model searched for by name.

Suppliers are absent from the PFAS question

Answers on PFAS-free water repellents drew on outdoor-gear blogs and NGO reports. Chemical suppliers were almost entirely missing.

Patents speak for your chemistry

Patents were 13% of everything Claude cited and 8% of citations on adhesive and coating questions, so claims language stands in for product pages.

What we do

How we change the answer

  • Application guides engineered for citation: substrate × method matrices, surface preparation, cure conditions, failure modes.
  • Regulatory and sustainability pages with the calculation method stated.
  • Technical-service knowledge captured as public troubleshooting content.
  • Spec Watch on performance and regulatory claims.

What you get

  • Share of Answer across formulation and troubleshooting questions
  • Source Map, including the third-party pages answering for you
  • Application-guide program with your technical reviewers
  • Quarterly re-measurement

Start with evidence

See what AI tells engineers about your materials.

We'll run 25 of your customers' questions across three engines and show you who gets named, which sources get cited, and what's wrong. Free, in five business days.
